It Should Be Okay with All Drugs

The headline reads: “In 40-Year First, LSD Used in Therapy With FDA OK.” Here is the first line: “Researchers experimented with LSD in psychiatric treatment until such research was effectively banned in the US in 1966—but now a Swiss psychiatrist has conducted the first controlled trial of the hallucinogenic drug in more than four decades, with US FDA approval.”
It should be okay with all drugs. And furthermore, there should be no FDA approval or disapproval or even an FDA. So why do conservatives, Republicans, and constitutionalists and liberals, Democrats, and progressives continue to support and fund the drug war and the FDA? Ignorant, stupid, or evil–take your pick.
