I Hate to Say I Told You So

But I told you so.
“The Pentagon is poised to make significant changes to its mental health benefits for troops, families and retirees, to include eliminating limits on inpatient services and allowing Tricare to cover hormone therapy for transgender individuals.” Tricare will have to cover all “medically necessary and appropriate care for the treatment of gender dysphoria,” with the exception of surgery. This means that “transgender service members, family members and retirees would no longer have to pay out of pocket for hormone replacement therapy.”
Is there any doubt that coverage for surgery for members of the military will be next?
Thanks to T.M., a recovering veteran who will not need these services.
