I receive daily emails from Sojourners, which sells a bumper sticker that declares  God neither is a Republican nor a Democrat.  However, most of these emails are little more than shills for the present Obama administration, and they read like the political ads on television in which someone tells the audience: “Call So-and-So and tell him to stop lying.”

Today, I got one from Sojourners entitled: “Hannity’s Health Scare Tactics.”  The text reads like the many emails I have received from the Republicrats and Democans and is purely political — like like all of the other emails I get from Jim Wallis and his friends.  For all of their talk of “independence,” these people are as wedded to the Democrats as James Dobson and Jerry Falwell were wedded to the Republicans.  The whole thing is sickening.

For years Wallis railed against the Religious Right for coordinating their actions with Republicans.  As you can see, this “alert” they have sent, complete with the “official” letter they want you to send, is coordinated with other Democratic Party activities.  A plague on all their houses!
