Blizzard
October 27, 2019
Writes Jerry T. Dowell:
Michael Snyder has pointed out (LRC, 10/17/2019) that the recent Midwest blizzard and resultant crop failures will lead soon to food shortages. Since much of the corn crop would have been used for the production of ethanol to be blended (by government mandate) into gasoline, significant consumer gasoline shortages should also be on the horizon.
