Why the Flags?

Why the flags on this church building in Virgina? Are they left over from Memorial Day or are they getting the church ready for the Fourth of July? Could be both. I attended a church once that put up flags inside the church on the Sunday before Memorial Day and did not take them down until after the Fourth of July. They could also be up early for flag day on June 14.
