A Surprising Note from a Member of the Military

June 10, 2015

I received this surprising note from a member of the military and am posting it with his permission:

My name is ___  ___ , I am a currently serving US Army Captain, and I would like to thank you for your writings concerning Christianity and the military. I take no offense at any of your writings and believe that those who do worship themselves, service, and their country as gods. I have served in Afghanistan and know that I was not fighting for the Constitution nor for anyone’s freedoms. I was destroying a country and interfering with innocent people’s lives. Your article discussing Veterans Day was spot on and I detest it when people worship military members or law enforcement or those who use force to make people comply with what they want them to do. Those that use force are usually in conflict with God. I believe this worship is due to a watering down of Christianity to make it fit society and I call most of those who profess Christianity as CHRINOs, Christians In Name Only. Thank you for your writings as I know that many find them to be wrong. I enjoy your articles and please continue what you do, you have made a difference in this officer’s life and thinking!

LRC is making a difference. Please support it if you can.
