Responding to Communist Canada, Charlie points to the usual hypocrisy from the Marxists in office:

I notice there is a large crowd at the Bell Center in Montreal to watch the Canadiens/Golden Nights Stanley Cup playoff game tonight. So why exactly was pastor Tim Stephens arrested? Shame on the politicians in Canada. May Almighty God thwart the ways of these wicked people! 

Speaking of which, I read a passage in Isaiah this morning of enormous comfort. We serve a just God, nor will His justice sleep forever, as Jefferson famously noted:

Woe to those who make unjust laws,
    to those who issue oppressive decrees,
² to deprive the poor of their rights
    and withhold justice from the oppressed of my people,
making widows their prey
    and robbing the fatherless.
³ What will you do on the day of reckoning,
    when disaster comes from afar?
To whom will you run for help?
    Where will you leave your riches?
