The Great Rod Serling

January 1, 2010

You’re travelling through another dimension. A dimension, not only of sight and sound, but of mind. A journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination. Next stop, the Twilight Zone!

Good for the SyFy network for running a Twilight Zone marathon today. I am reminded again of what an extraordinary television show (1959-64) this was: wonderful actors, superb production values (MGM studios and b&w film), skilled direction, and great writing and production, usually by the master himself. There is even an anti-state streak in many of these shows. I loved the Twilight Zone as a boy, and I still love it. See the CD set.
