The Gnostic Tradition and Renaissance Occultism

As a follow-up to my recent LRC blog, Gnosticism: The Enduring Heresy and Menace to Western Civilization, (which has sparked quite an interest among readers) I recommend carefully examining this intriguing brief summary article by the late philosopher Thomas Molnar, The Gnostic Tradition and Renaissance Occultism, to help clarify and distil the importance of these seminal ideas in shaping our Western tradition. Many of the key ideas Molnar discusses can be further developed in many of the texts found in this Amazon book list, particularly the volumes by authors Dame Frances Yates, D. P. Walker, Stephen McKnight, Peter French, Tarl Warwick and Michael Hoffman. The world, particularly of the Renaissance, is very much different than what we learned at the university, especially in today’s seditious professoriat of court academia.
