The SS Would Not Have Tolerated This

August 11, 2016

How dare she?!  Olympic gymnast Gabby Douglas failed to put her hand on her heart during the playing of the war anthem of the American military/industrial complex after the biggest moment of her young life — winning a gold medal in the Olympics.  Doesn’t she know that her monumental, individual accomplishments mean nothing to the state, and that she must constantly be reminded, for the rest of her life, that she must worship and pay homage to the state on a daily basis?  What are they teaching in the public schools these days?  Must be a home schooler.

UPDATE:  Boobus Americanus (an H.L. Mencken phrase) is whining that the version of the war anthem being played at the Olympics sounds too “sad.”
