Someone’s AWOL

Where are the churches and Parson Goat while Marxists conquer the country with their false and intolerant religion?
If preachers have condemned the purges, shutdowns and shut-ups, vilification, and enormous, constant lies, I haven’t heard it. Please, someone prove me wrong. If you listened to a sermon yesterday denouncing Marxism’s evils, kindly email me.
Otherwise, the picture is grim. At a time when the Church should be actively, vigorously opposing Communists, it’s missing in action. It sits silent behind mandated masks, with worshippers careful to space themselves six feet apart but nonchalant about their impact on our wounded land—or lack thereof. Thank you, Parson Goat, for acceding to godless politicians and slamming the Church’s doors: you cooperated in eliminating one of the most potent obstacles when communists try to hijack a nation. And now, when America desperately needs Christian warriors, your compromised congregations wouldn’t impart the fear of God to a gossip, let alone to such degenerates as Marxists.
What lessons you can learn from our persecuted brothers overseas! For example, read this account of Romanian Pastor Laszlo Tokes’s abuse at Communist hands and weep, Parson Goat, for you utterly failed when a trial far less severe confronted you. Had you obeyed God rather than the government last March, what punishment awaited? Maybe some ridicule from the media and leftists, perhaps a fine that a judge might or might not have upheld. What did Pastor Tokes risk when he preached the Gospel against rulers’ wishes? “They beat Tokes until his face was bloody. Then they took him and [his wife] away into the night.
To which of you, Parson, will our Lord one day say, “Well done, thou good and faithful servant”? Which of you has won an eternal crown?
Thanks to David Mueller for the link to our brother’s triumphant story, reminding us of the stakes here and inspiring us to stand firm. And may God partially charge whatever blood American martyrs shed to Parson Goat.
