Review and discussion of the formal letter written by the Senate Committee Of Homeland Security And Governmental Affairs asking the National Institutes of Health (NIH) to review the evidence on Ivermectin, Favipiravir, and COVID-19.
We will go through this letter in its entirety discussing what the United States Senate is asking the National Institutes of Health to do and why. Primarily, we will be discussing why Dr. Kory went in front of the Senate to discuss the growing body of evidence around Ivermectin and COVID-19. We will dive into when the NIH last reviewed the research on Ivermectin and COVID-19, as well as the significance of that timeline. We will discuss the political and scientific climate around this potential therapeutic. We will then touch on other therapeutics covered in this Senate letter including Favipiravir and Hydroxychloroquine. Lastly, we will discuss the December 23rd deadline that was given to the NIH to produce their review of the evidence on these potential therapeutics.
