I agree completely with Mike about Trump’s latest speech. It was brilliant and masterful. Evidence of this is that AOL News is in a state of mental breakdown, screeching about a “furor” created by the speech, especially the part where he spoke from the heart directly to middle-class black people whose neighborhoods have been destroyed by crime and poverty, thanks to a half century of iron-fisted rule by Democratic Party machines. Of course there is a furor caused by the speech — in the minds of the professional race hustlers at the NAACP, and elsewhere, who have become rich and powerful by selling out their own people to the welfare state/government teachers’ unions bureaucracies.
In sharp contrast to how the mayor of Baltimore announced that street thugs, communist anarchists, and hardened criminals (who she referred to as “our children”) needed to be “given some space” to burn down a large part of her city a year and a half ago, Trump promised to get rid of the violent gangs who prey upon and destroy the lives of so many inner-city residents in places like Baltimore.
The one big thing missing from Trump’s speech is the recognition that the war on drugs is by far the major cause of inner-city violence, and that of course has always had “bi-partisan” support.
