Re: Chris Matthews “Journalism”
March 19, 2016
Roger: Nor can we forget how, when Obama was first elected president, Matthews declared, live and in full color on TV, “I want to do everything I can to make this thing work, this new presidency work.” If MSNBC considered itself a genuine practitioner of journalism – instead of being a bugle for the interests of the ruling establishment – Matthews should have immediately been called into the network president’s office and told “you’re fired!” That he was not, only shows how Matthews’ shortcomings extend throughout the mainstream media.
