Now the GOP Gives Cheney “The Cheney”

Looks like it’s unanimous.

First, Obama gave Cheney the back of his hand.

Did the GOP stalwarts on the Hill rise up in indignation? Well, yes they did, but not in the usual way.According to the Capitol Hill Newspaper “The Hill,” Congressional Republicans are telling Cheney to “Go back into hiding.”

“Rep. John Duncan Jr. (R-Tenn.) said, ‘He became so unpopular while he was in the White House that it would probably be better for us politically if he wouldn’t be so public.'”

Better for us, too, Mr. Duncan. When a man builds his entire life on power, and then his power is taken away, his real character is laid bare. Perhaps Howard Baker had Cheney in mind with his old saw regarding the average political hack: “Deep down, he’s shalla.”
