No Brexit Exit Polls?

I just read that there have been no exit polls taken during the Brexit vote. None. By anyone. Contrary to what happens in all other elections. Could it be that the British government, which is rabidly anti-Brexit and counts all the votes, doesn’t want to be bothered with having to explain why their vote count is so at odds with exit polls?
