Negotiating With Terrorists

Adam, I agree. This is one of the edicts laid down by the state and the state media, but it makes no sense. Previously, it was: no negotiating with Southerners, Indians, Germans, Austrians, Japanese, Italians, Germans, Russians, etc. But as Pius XII told FDR through the Vatican ambassador, the demand for unconditional surrender (that is, no negotiating) is un-Christian. After all, we are supposed to love our enemies. How can talking with them be barred?

But then, we are not supposed to recognize that terrorism is the state writ small. When Truman demands that Japan give in, or he will incinerate tens of thousands of children, why, that’s just war. When private criminals make the same demand of Russia, except about hundreds of children, why, that’s turrism.

DC/FOX tells us: You can’t negotiate with the enemy (whoever the enemy is at the moment). Well, yes we can.
