It’s a good sign that young Nathan is reading things he finds on the internet, like LRC. He is self-educating, and he was exposed, briefly, to some good information that contradicts what his friends and Fox News are telling him. We can’t reject the Nathans because at least they are reading (and writing). He is beginning to think — rustily and nervously — maybe for the first time in his publicly schooled and military basic training experience. Of course, his first reaction is not stellar — but he’ll improve. Chalk another one up to LRC!
