Militaristic Pastor of the Year

I said in my LRC article today: “On Memorial Day, Armed Forces Day, the Fourth of July, and Veterans Day, during Military Appreciation Month, and every other month and day of the year we are expected to honor military personnel for defending our freedoms and thank them for their service.” A reader informs me that in his pastor’s online sermon (the church is still closed) on the Sunday before Memorial Day, the pastor said: “To my mind, there’s just not enough holidays in the year where we can honor veterans.” I could not have made this up if I tried. I would like to award this pastor the Militaristic Pastor of the Year award.
