Lies Upon Lies

The Transportation Security Administration was at the Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International Airport to remind passengers the right way to check their guns…” In the course of this propaganda, one of the agency’s spokesliars announced, “TSA doesn’t want to infringe on anyone’s right to take a firearm with them when they travel, we just want to make sure they do it the right way…”

This from bureaucrats who “hit [armed passengers] with a civil penalty of up to $11,000 and even criminal charges,” who hyperventilate over and confiscate toy guns on belt-buckles while routinely siccing the cops on folks who’ve forgotten or otherwise overlooked a weapon in their carry-on bags. If that isn’t “infringing,” I’ll eat my dictionary.

At some point, shouldn’t the casual, flagrant lying move the serfs to swarm the checkpoints? Especially when we add to it the TSA’s bullying of handicapped children, such as that of nine-year-old Chille Bergstrom last Saturday morning at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. Chille wears a pacemaker after 15 surgeries on his heart for a congenital defect. His family usually “request[s and receives] alternative screening anytime they fly” with him.

But on Saturday, “‘We were told immediately by the TSA that he was not allowed to be screened alternatively and instead would need an exemption,’ said [his mother,] Ali.” This persecution

held them up for more than an hour. ‘[I was] shocked beyond belief. In walks the head of the Department of Homeland Security for the entire airport, followed by other supervisors, and managers with ten other people from TSA,’ said Ali.

“And four police officers,” Chille chimed, completing his mother’s sentence.

“With everything, guns, Tasers, all that,” said Chille.

The exemption screening was lengthy and arduous according to the Bergstroms. The agents, they say, were also demeaning.

“One of the TSA agents told me they’d prevented terrorist attacks using nine-year-old boys with pacemakers and children before, so I laughed–

Good for her! More passengers should laugh–and worse–at these deceitful twits.

–and said, ‘Oh when?’ At that point, the TSA agent became very quiet and said, ‘Oh we’re not at liberty to discuss this,’” recounted Ali.

I do hope Ali greeted this fantasy with more, especially raucous laughter.

Advocating for himself during the ordeal Chille asked, “Could you please explain to me what’s happening right now? Because I’m not used to this.”

“At that point the TSA agent said he wouldn’t be flying today,” Ali said. …

“It was very scary,” said Chille, “I thought it was my fault.”

“Because he has been reared with this pacemaker I always tried to empower him,” the mother explained. “This was the first time I’d ever heard him talk like this,” she said.

“He woke up with nightmares on Saturday night and on Sunday night,” Ali [said]…

The TSA’s excuse for this barbarity was its usual falsehood–a falsehood the evidence obviously and scorchingly refutes: “TSA is committed to ensuring all travelers are treated with respect and courtesy. TSA is reviewing Saturday’s incident and working to contact the family…”

Ali crisply dismissed the agency’s claims: ““TSA has not contacted me. No one has apologized. No one has reached out…”

When, when, when will Americans abolish this Satanic bureaucracy?
