Libido Dominandi

I have no illusions concerning Donald Trump and his presidential candidacy. Trying to decipher or psychologically explain what goes inside a narcissistic strutting egoist and authoritarian sociopathic personality such as Trump is near impossible. I would not even begin to speculate on his ulterior motive or intent (rational or otherwise).

All we know is that he decided to undertake this course of action, and the world will forever be affected by its consequences. The same applies to the cravenly corrupt psychotic Hillary Clinton.

Neither of them respects the rule of law or the Constitution. And neither does the present occupant of the White House, that Constitutional scholar Barack Obama, or any president within my lifetime.

We have been in post-Constitutional (or if you prefer extra-Constitutional) mode for decades, particularly with the installation of the covert Deep State during the Truman regime in 1947, cemented into place on November 22, 1963, with the coup d’état by Lyndon Johnson and the highest echelons of the National Security State, accomplished with the brutal murder of President John F. Kennedy.

This explanation referring to St. Augustine’s concept of the libido dominandi is perhaps the most cogent explanation.
