And the Heritage Foundation is wrong. It may the only time that Harris has ever been right about anything, but she is right about prostitution: “When you are talking about consenting adults, I think that … we can’t criminalize consensual behavior, as long as no one is being harmed.” The Heritage Foundation article attacking this statement of Harris says, among other things, that we need to criminalize all acts of prostitution because some women might be a victim of sex trafficking. I deplore prostitution, but it has to be legal in order to have a free society. See my articles on this subject and other victimless crimes here.
