Is This Alaska Or East Berlin?

September 9, 2020

Daniel Hopkins writes,

Moving to Alaska has been a personal goal of mine for many, many years now.  … Yet despite the low taxation and quality freedom that Alaska offers in terms of no state sales or income tax, some of the laxest homeschooling laws in the nation, and constitutional carry since before it was cool, the state is comparable to the Nazi nightmare when it comes to COVID-19.

To enter the state, you MUST receive a COVID-19 test within seventy-two (72) hours before arrival. Because most medical facilities don’t do testing for travel or leisure, I had to use pixel by LabCorp’s “do-it-yourself kit.” This involved aligning the planets by placing my order, receiving it on time, sticking a swab up my nose, mailing it back on the same day, and waiting up to 24 hours for results after they received it at the lab back on the East Coast. Obviously, the more people in your party, the more variables at play.

You then have to go to a special little website the state of Alaska set up where you fill out a Traveler’s Declaration Form and upload your [negative] test results, but don’t forget to print out the entire declaration form along with your report so you can get through the COVID-19 security checkpoint (and we thought TSA was bad enough!) waiting for you and your family at the Anchorage International Airport, and don’t forget to wear your muzzle, too, per order of Führer Ethan Berkowitz. …

When I finally got to my hotel, I texted my friend in Missouri that I felt like I just passed through the checkpoint from East Berlin to West Berlin.

And remember: Alaska is among the freer states in this United Dystopia.
