So said a highly-opinionated neocon from New Jersey who had transplanted himself to South Carolina about one of my hangouts, pictured below. Like the Marxist BLM/Antifa Left, the Straussian neoconservatives and their sheep-like followers, like this guy, demonize John C. Calhoun because he was such a forceful proponent of the Jeffersonian decentralist, states’ rights philosophy. The Marxist Left and the Straussian neocon Right both want centralized, monopolistic government which they hope to control, as the latter did especially during the Bush “war on terra” years.
