Hungry Veteran No More
November 12, 2017
From a veteran who took advantage of the veteran worship that happened on Veterans Day:
I have eaten at five different restaurants today, consuming more than I would ordinarily have eaten all weekend. I do it every year for one reason; when an employee says to me ‘no charge-thanks for your service’ I can respond “it was my pleasure; I really enjoyed killing people when I was younger and the US government was the perfect employer.”
Laurence M. Vance [send him mail] writes from central Florida. His newest book is The U.S. Proxy War in Ukraine.
