Glenn Greenwald Documentary Wins Academy Award
February 22, 2015
The documentary film “Citizenfour,” which consists of Glenn Greenwald’s initial interviews in Hong Kong with Edward Snowden about NSA spying, just won the academy award for Best Documentary Feature. Congratulations to documentary film maker Laura Poitras (who now lives in Berlin after being repeatedly “detained” at American airports by Department of Fatherland Security bureaucrats and eventually placed on their “terror watch list”).
I was shocked to see Greenwald himself on stage! He looked extremely nervous for obvious reasons. Edward Snowden’s girlfriend Lindsay Mills was also on stage next to Greenwald at “the Oscars.”
