The email from LifeSite urges

SIGN this urgent petition calling for state legislatures to cut the salaries of governors and mayors who are responsible for closing small businesses by enacting draconian COVID shutdown measures.

Love it! Though I have little faith in such measures, I signed because I can’t resist poetic justice and because the petition’s title is just too compelling: 

Shut down big government NOT small business.

Oh, boy, if only!
