Confirming my analysis come this from Dr. Graham Walker, whose work on Augustine I have long admired.
He admits that the door swings only one way: Hillary’s electors will hang in there to the bitter end; so it’s a victorious Trump that Dr. Walker seeks to block from inauguration.
Two notes of interest: Dr. Walker writes from the Witherspoon Institute at Princeton, an influential group with Catholic intellectuals; and he is the former president of the rock-ribbed evangelical Patrick Henry College, just over the mountain from us in northern Virginia.
Two important constituencies.
Walker’s “solution”: Save the country by putting into power the guys Trump ran against – the Congress.
