The Commie Pope’s Latest Diatribe Against Peaceful, Voluntary Exchange

This time the Marxist-minded pontiff calls private-sector employers “the slave drivers of our days.”    This was a popular theme among nineteenth- and early twentieth-century socialists — that wage earners in a capitalist economy are no better off than slaves.  At least this gives us an indication of the state of the pope’s economic knowledge.  I would say that he’s a pre-Soviet Union socialist/communist who seems totally oblivious to and unaware of the past several hundred years of world economic history.
