Comic Relief

August 8, 2015

For those of us enthralled by the comic relief of the Trump candidacy and the intriguing prospect of the self-immolation of the GOP criminal cartel, here is another bit of existential absurdity being floated – the prospect of a Jesse Ventura-Cynthia McKinney 2016 ticket. This is a hopelessly Sisyphean prospect for the logistical reasons I stated previously at LRC concerning third party/independent candidacies in this 2011 article on Ron Paul. Such talk comes from naïve morons and neophytes who assume that all someone who wants to launch such a presidential candidacy needs to do is simply announce their intentions on the mainstream media and PRESTO they magically appear on all state and territorial electoral ballots and appear in all televised debates. Only independently wealthy billionaires such as a Trump, Bloomberg, or Perot could even entertain such a strategy. Both of the Koch brothers (whom I met decades ago) have many times more billions than the aforementioned combined but are savvy enough to see that neither one of them would get to first base in such a bid and continue to play the kingmaker role with pathetic puppet surrogates such as Scott Walker. We live in an oligarchy where all such “elections” are fixed. The Deep State which really governs is not affected by such distractions. Besides the establishment elite always has a fallback position that they have frequently utilized if things are not going as exactly planned.
