Can “The Three Stooges” Bring Peace to the Middle East?

February 13, 2004

A friend of mine who owns a television production business in Washington, D.C. just landed a big contract with the U.S. government to help launch a new network in the Middle East. It’s the theory of our rulers that if only we can immerse the population of the Middle East in American culture, they will naturally grow to love us and there will be no more threat of terrorism.

The new network was scheduled to appear today, and the very first show consists of reruns of “Laverne and Shirley.”
