From a female LRC reader who was once in the military: “Having served in the US Army I agree with you on the topic of women in the military and being in combat. When I was in uniform I found that most of the people pushing to open combat jobs to women were female officers. Combat provides officers with an easier path to promotion, so many of the advocates of this daft ideology are only looking to further their careers.” Careers? I thought they joined the military to defend our freedoms. “Serving” in the military is obviously just a job, as I point out in “Service or Employment?
