BLM in Louisville Tries Shakedowns and Extortion

BLM’s local chapters continue to reveal BLM’s criminal nature. In Louisville, BLM activists make demands with accompanying threats that amount to shakedowns and extortion. See here and here. For example, “Retail locations will include a minimum of 23% inventory of black retailers OR make a recurring monthly donation of 1.5% of net sales to black local organizations.”

During Prohibition, a speakeasy had to take its quota of gangster-supplied beer at gangster-set prices or face punishment. Is there any difference between those thugs and BLM? BLM promises an array of punishments if a business does not comply. They are designed to interrupt normal (freely conducted) commerce between the business and its customers.

Invasive Reclamation: Placement of booths/tables outside your establishment where competing Black proprietors will offer items comparable to those offered by you.
