Gibson guitar company “has created a one-off custom guitar to help raise funds for U.S. veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).” It is called the “Chris Kyle Commemorative Les Paul Standard Special.” It features “an American flag–and-skull finish and top-hat control knobs crafted from ammo shells.” The guitar went on the auction block on April 2, with a starting bid of $3,000. but “within the first 24 hours, the bidding had gone above $15,000.” Better get your bid in fast. The auction ends on May 5.

What’s next? American Sniper televisions? American Sniper shoes? American Sniper cookies? American Sniper toilet seats? How about an American Sniper assisted suicide kit. You open it and it blows up in your face. That would certainly be worthy of the name.
