A Culture of Death and Depravity
December 12, 2022
I am speaking of U.S. military culture. It has gone to the dogs, literally. We have long known that it is a culture of death. More and more of its culture of depravity is being manifested every day. The latest is a retired Army colonel who posted to Twitter images of himself and his male lover, a junior officer in the military, wearing leather dog masks so they can have sex with each other while pretending to be dogs. How long will conservative Christians continue to support the modern, depraved military?
Laurence M. Vance [send him mail] writes from central Florida. He is the author of The Free Society; War, Christianity, and the State: Essays on the Follies of Christian Militarism; War, Empire, and the Military: Essays on the Follies of War and U.S. Foreign Policy; King James, His Bible, and Its Translators, and many other books. His newest book is The U.S. Proxy War in Ukraine.
