Who will be accountable?

April 2, 2020

Writes Jim Lloyd:

Hi Lew,

The question I keep asking about the COVID19 experience is whether the politicos will indict the press & medical professionals when the economic impact is undeniable, so as to save their “careers”.  Can our “leaders” afford the loss of trust in government after the panic subsides?

Most of the political class seems more than wiling to throw anyone under the bus to save their own skin, so it might be interesting to watch a boddhisattva-style finger-pointing session later this year, as everyone tries to distance themselves from responsibility while the public is looking at their pocketbook, coupled with the low mortality and demanding an answer about what happened.

As always, thanks for a refuge from the madness of the masses,
