Vote Fraud & Trump

What is frustrating about discussions of vote fraud in the recent election, such as in your recent Political Theatre blog posts,  is how dishonest the media megaphone has been on this.

First, Jill Stein’s December recount effort in Michigan uncovered several precincts where over 600 votes were reported, but the recount showed only 50 or so actual votes in sealed ballot containers. This amazing evidence of fraud quickly disappeared down the Media Memory Hole. Of course these precincts were in 90%+ Democrat Detroit precincts.

What we instead hear are repetitions by groups of elected state voting officials about how such fraud accusations are groundless. Their self-serving claims are never critically examined nor are any of the claimed “studies” they cite ever discussed in detail. The methodology of discovering actual vote fraud is quite difficult – basically proving a crime was committed – so how can such academic studies be taken seriously? While duplicate vote casting using the same name/ID might be easily detectable, more complex fraud schemes are not easily researched by grad students from journalism or political science courses.

What Trump is saying, I believe, is that in many states it is possible that millions of undocumented aliens have and do cast election ballots. Under federal law it is illegal for non-citizens to vote in federal elections. Yet in states like California, paid (Democrat and union) vote registrars scour heavily minority Hispanic and Asian neighborhoods and get paid by the head to sign up anyone and everyone. Yes, there is some kind of blanket oath signed by the registrant, but no one checks the validity and no one is punished if they sign up aliens not eligible to vote. Local government voter officials do not as a rule perform any verification on the paperwork they are given.  In fact, recent US Supreme Court and Appeals Court decisions have struck down state laws that required new voters to provide proof of US citizenship in order to register and vote.

Vetting new voters (and old) for US citizenship is difficult unless Social Security numbers are required, which they aren’t. Even then you’d have to do careful matching on the names/addresses and for duplicate registrations using the same SS numbers. Such vetting could be done but it would be costly and require access to federal databases which are normally restricted to employment verification or tax purposes. Undocumented immigrants are notorious for obtaining and using stolen SS numbers or outright fake ones.

The only valid research for such illegal voters would be to target precincts with large number of immigrant residents, and check voter registrations against SS numbers or passport info.  Since this information doesn’t appear on voter registration documents, obtaining this and matching would be difficult and expensive.

Denials of fraud by political election officials cannot be believed. They are protecting their own very hackable system and do not conduct any procedures to prevent non-citizens from getting voter registration cards. Even when some form of ID is required to vote (in some states) only Social Security cards, US passports and certain other government security ID require proof of citizenship to obtain. Drivers licenses in many states are available to non-citizens, as are most other forms of state, local and federal ID.

If potentially millions of presidential votes have been cast by non-citizens not eligible to vote, that is massive vote fraud. The media keeps claiming this has not happened. Where is the evidence for this Establishment media claim? Unless or until some researcher conducts valid statistical sampling and US citizenship vetting for voters registered in immigrant-rich areas (and control areas with average populations) then no denials about this sort of fraud have any truthful validity.

So who is lying about vote fraud? Trump or the anti-Trump media smearbund.
