The picture was taken on July 5, 2025, in Paamiut, Greenland, our first of two stops at the big island on a Norwegian Cruise Line cruise that began in Rekjavik, Iceland, and ended in New  and and York City.  The guy had bought the shirt at a souvenir stand not far behind where the picture was taken.  The Inuit guide for our group was quite excited upon seeing the shirt with its message.  She had flown. In from Nuuk, our second stop.  The woman in the photo is the composer of the poem you sent around yesterday.
Interestingly, our guide in Nuuk, a longtime resident but a native Dane, told us nothing about the history and controversy surrounding the statue of Hans Egede.
You can barely make her out, but my energetic wife is at the base of the statue with her arms over her head.  We knew nothing of the statue’s significance at that point and our guide didn’t volunteer anything.  I just thought it was picturesque.
She’s also at the base of the much-photographed Peggy’s Cove Lighthouse on the right side on our tour at the Halifax, NS, stop.
