‘The Simplest Way To Understand the Insanity of Boosting for Omicron’

Hi Lew,

I was reading comments following the above noted Alex Berenson article on LRC today. I ran across the below two sentences in one of the comments:

I think one big reason why the “vaccine” is still being pushed is that both parties are on board. while many Republicans have denounced vax mandates, they still keep praising the “vaccine” itself, starting with Trump himself, who just proudly admitted having got the booster.

Even Desantis is still pitching the vaccines, though to his credit, he is staunchly anti-mandate. The only politician on the right side of history has been Rand Paul.

The second sentence speaks for itself. The first sentence is what I found intriguing. I believe the comment is absolutely right on but also noticed how very similar that is to politicians of both parties who claim to oppose the wars, but claim they just have to continue to fund them to show they “support the troops”. In the end, how can anyone in the political class claim to be against using force, sorry, “mandates”, on the citizens when as Harry Browne always pointed out, everything they do involves force.
