The ‘Good News’ in the GA budget
June 30, 2020
Writes Greg Privette:
Hi Lew,
I read an article about the really tough budget this year for the state of Georgia. They had make 10% cuts across the board. But I loved this statement from the article:
One bright spot in the budget is there are no furloughs for the 245,000 state employees and job cuts were minimized.
Good thing the governor’s lockdown mandate only affected private sector employees. I am sure furloughing the tax eaters would be a terrible thing. After all we all know every one of those 245K state employees are “essential”. How could we possibly lead our lives without them?
