Telling the Story of China’s Rise with Li Jingjing

Writes Chris Sullivan:

This is a pretty interesting interview. During Soviet days, the USSR had a spokesman named Vladimir Posner who was very smart and spoke English perfectly, having lived in New York in his youth. He was a very talented propagandist for the Soviet Union.

It’s possible that this woman is a type of Chinese Posner, but I don’t think so. Her trust in government and praise of government schools is hard to understand, but lots of people here have the same view. RFK Jr. said that his father, Bobby Kennedy used to say, “People in power lie.”  That’s true always and everywhere, but she doesn’t seem to know that. It’s hard to know the true situation in China and it might be bad, but I’m sure it’s not like we’re being told here.

I was talking to a guy at a high school reunion several years ago who lives in China and he said it’s nothing like we’re being told. One thing is certain and that’s that you will never hear the truth from the US media.

This is her YouTube website and she has an interesting interview with Clare Daly.
