Russian state media puts this in quotation marks

The article, per usual, covers for the Democratic Party elite with this: “Senior Democratic figures, including President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, who the party has put forward for November’s election, have condemned both instances of violence targeting their opponent.”

If you’ve seen such pro forma disclaimers, they are terse and consist solely of such bromides as Violence is not the answer and Violence has no role in American politics – though in the next breath the above will spout venom about the need to preserve American democracy from the new Hitler, etc. With the inevitable corollary that the person who would singlehandedly do so would be celebrated in history books until the Millennium as hero, savior and martyr.
