Royal Duties
May 14, 2021
Writes Herman Mayfarth:
What exactly are the “royal duties” of British “royal family?”
From where I sit, it appears to me that, for the males, the main “duty” is to wear a fancy uniform at state functions, and to be, at least nominally, a member of the armed forces which American colonists fought and died to drive from our shores in the 18th century.
Memo to Prince Harry:
The Americans won the war, and neither the War of 1812, nor Cecil Rhodes’ “scholarship” propaganda scheme to brainwash young Americans changed that. Get used to it, Harry.
It is reality, and you are invited to show the proper respect to the laws and customs of a sovereign nation, particularly the laws and customs of a world power which sacrificed American blood and treasure to bail out the UK in two World Wars.
If you wish to lecture the colonials, I suggest you move to Canada, where the British crown still owns all the real estate. If you are lucky, perhaps your granny will visit you there, being sure to discharge her own “royal duty” to ensure that the color of her hat matches the color of her dress.
The Best of Llewellyn H. Rockwell, Jr.
