Re: Whistleblower: COVID-19 Patients Need Oxygen Therapy, Not Ventilators

Hi Lew,

Thanks for all you do. I have been an avid reader since Dr Paul’s first presidential run (as a Republican)

I read the Zero Hedge article you linked about hypoxia, and I followed the idea down the internet rabbit hole. There are indeed some physicians proposing that the virus or disease progression attacks hemoglobin and interferes with its ability to carry oxygen, thereby causing more hypoxia than their state of pneumonia might explain.  In discussions, there was also mQention of ferritin levels.

I.e.

See here, here, and here.

That all lead me to an important question that I don’t know has been raised in anything I have read.

If this turns out to be mostly correct, could it explain the 60/40 ratio of deaths men/women?

Harkening to many articles I have read by Dr Mercola and Mr Sardi, I believe men are much more prone to higher iron levels, which are highly damaging.

So, I speculate, could it be that men are at higher risk of death (though apparently not in catching the disease) because they are more likely to have high iron or ferritin to begin with?

That the damage done to the hemoglobin, which then causes the releasing of iron and saturating ferritin levels (or maybe overwhelming the ferritin mechanism and dumping free iron in the system?), and the oxidative havoc that ensues, all exacerbated by high iron load to begin with, might be a factor that pushes more men over the top then women in certain progressions of the disease?

I am a layman too much time in my hands at present, so this is sheer speculation on my part, but perhaps some of your qualified readers and contributors might have thoughts on this?
