Quiet & unseen

October 27, 2023

Writes Doug Roise:

In his book “Economics in One Lesson,” Henry Hazlitt emphasizes the importance of that which is unseen in economics.

In a short parable, the Christ emphasizes the quiet invisible growth & spread of goodness, “The kingdom of heaven is like leaven that a woman took and hid in three measures of flour, till it was all leavened.” (Matthew 13:33).

In scripture (and history) the contrast is; “the devil goes about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” (1Peter 5:8).

“Do not be afraid,” and “see that no one deceives you.”
