Every year on this ignominious anniversary, I share this article from our late, great friend Will Grigg about how it was the awful Teddy Roosevelt who encouraged the Japanese, the “honorary Aryans,” as T Roosevelt called them, to invade Manchuria.

Three decades later his distant cousin, the even more awful FDR, used Japan’s occupation as his pretext for badgering the Japanese into firing the first shot at Pearl Harbor.
