Memo to the Secret Police
March 23, 2017
Following in the footsteps of Tom DiLorenzo, I need to confess my own Russian ties. As a schoolboy, I studied Russian. I once attended a performance of the Soviet-era Red Army Chorus, and liked it. I opposed the US’s Cold War. I favor peace, free trade, and friendly relations with Russia. I drink Russian vodka. The Mises Institute was in effect founded in the Russian Tea Room, when I met there with Margit von Mises. I admire Russian Christianity, which survived the horrific persecutions and mass deaths of Lenin, Trotsky, and Stalin, and today flourishes. I have appeared on RT. I own a gold coin of Nicholas II, purchased when I was a boy.
