I don’t doubt there is virtually no research of Lyme Disease, because the NIH and CDC wouldn’t fund any serious research, because they knew Lyme was the outgrowth of a DOD bioweapon program. Burgdorfer, the “discoverer” of the Borellia Bordorfer spent 40 years trying to weaponize ticks and created the bacteria himself.

We know this because Burgdorfer shared his work with author Kris Newby after he retired because of his guilt.  Her book tells most of the story, although she pulls her punches at the end. Bitten: The Secret History of Lyme Disease and Biological Weapons. In interviews she was much more emphatic about her argument.

Additionally Michael C Carroll’s book Lab 257: The Disturbing Story of the Government’s Secret Germ Laboratory documents the bio-weapon research on Plum Island, NY and the spread of the original outbreak. The book is quite well documented.

While I dismiss no one out of hand, the Christine Massey argument based on FOIA requests, makes no sense if this was a bio-weapon program the CDC and DOD covered up. It’s like arguing vaccines don’t cause autism because the CDC has no studies they will release on the subject. Ditto Sam Bailey. Do you think the CDC is going to hand over research of Covid vaccine side effects? No, it’s a cover-up. The one study Bailey shows was led by Borgdorfer himself who wanted to open the barn door, but just a little. There are no other studies because you would have ruined your research career by doing them. Doctors who simply tried to treat people lost their medical licenses.

I’m willing to consider any serious argument that differs from mine, but the fact that the CDC produced no evidence for the request means little.
