It’s the Foreign Policy, Stupid!

January 3, 2025

Writes Patrick Foy:

Aside from it being wrong and immoral, a major problem with Washington’s foreign policy in the Middle East is that it may result in terrorism in the USA. It’s called blowback, the unintentional consequences of U.S. foreign policy. We have just witnessed some amateurish examples in New Orleans and Las Vegas. The media and Washington act as if they have been blindsided.

Remember what Pat Buchanan said decades ago in response to the professional terror attacks of 9/11. Islamic killers are over here because we are over there. But in this case, nowadays they don’t need to be over here…they’re already here…thanks to individuals becoming “self-radicalized” by what they are seeing “over there”. It is a self-created problem. It would require a police state to counteract it.

I would not be surprised if all of this will be blamed on Iran. The party line is the fiction that Iran is the world’s biggest sponsor of Islamic terrorism. And Iran is the current target of Tel Aviv and Washington. Certainly, the gentlemen in Washington, in this case, top dogs Joe Biden and Antony Blinken, will not want to point the finger at themselves, at their own malfeasance. It appears that we still have learned nothing since 9/11.
