That Deep State ‘Thang’

When I browse the MSM and their maternal advice re:  don’t worry, be happy relatively, but relaxedly, cautious!, Aleksandr Zinovyev’s Homo Sovieticus come to mind.

We’re all Homo Americanus now!  Politics and the state are really outside of the realm of most Americans.  ‘It’s really none of our business.  Those guys know better.  All decisions have been made.’  Still, Homo Americanus rushes out early on election day and stands in long lines to vote for a coin flip of two ‘choices’.

Never forget one of the most important lessons Douglas Valentine taught us about the vast state:  it’s leaders, elected and unelected, and its shills (the MSM) come from the same Ivy League fraternity.  It’s also important to point out Mr. Valentine comes from the left of the political spectrum.  So, no Breitbart, Trumpian fantasist there.
